Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek melalui metode resitasi pada peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Wonoroto Purworejo. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Wonoroto yang berjumlah 18. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif yaitu dengan mencari nilai rata- rata cerita pendek siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui metode resitasi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Wonoroto. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus I sebesar 19,7 dari nilai rata-rata prasiklus sebesar 59,9 menjadi 79,6. Sedangkan, peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus II sebesar 25,85 dari nilai rata rata prasiklus 59,9 menjadi 85,75.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to improve the learning process and short story writing skills through the recitation method for fourth grade students at SD Negeri Wonoroto Purworejo. This type of research was a collaborative classroom action research. The subjects of this study were the 18 students of fourth grade in SD Negeri Wonoroto. Methods of data collection in this study used the method of test, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used are quantitative and qualitative techniques, which is by finding the average value of students' short stories. The results showed that the recitation method could improve the short story writing skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Wonoroto. The improvement of short story writing skills in the first cycle was 19.7 from the pre-cycle average score of 59.9 to 79.6. Meanwhile, the improvement of short story writing skills in the second cycle was 25.85 from the pre-cycle average value of 59.9 to 85.75.
